I am a graduate from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design and a minor in Sustainability. This website is a platform to present and highlight my skills in fashion design.
I was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio with a family of four, my mom, dad, and sister. Originally, I sought my career aspirations in the medical field and to be a doctor. Very slowly, my focus gravitated more to the applied arts and it was when I participated in a design competition for 4-H, that I knew my path was meant for fashion design. I continued through high school drawing, and sewing my own prom dresses.
Fast-forward to years later and here I am in Kalamazoo, owner of my own alterations business, married to my husband, Jad who is an active-duty army officer, and I wouldn't trade the experiences I have gained for anything else. I am utilizing my skills to design and alter a range of clothing including wedding dresses, suits, and military uniforms for my clients’ needs.
From starting out with basic design fundamentals to where I am now, I will not stop wanting to engage, learn and progress. I am so grateful for chosen path and all that have educated, guided, and supported me in my journey through fashion design.
Thank you for taking the the time and consideration to view my work and credentials.
